Our History
For over thirty years, North Kivu Province—especially the Nyiragongo Territory—has faced chronic instability fueled by recurrent armed conflicts. These crises have caused thousands of deaths, widespread displacement, destruction of livelihoods, and left many children orphaned or living with physical and mental disabilities. Deprived of family, protection, and access to education, these children are among the most vulnerable in society. At Good Shepherd School / Kanzana, we believe that no child should pay the price of war. Since our founding, we have been committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and stimulating educational environment. Today, we support 400 vulnerable students, including orphans and children with disabilities, helping them regain hope, dignity, and the tools to become positive agents of change in their communities. With your support, we can continue to invest in their education, their future, and the long-term peace and development of the region.
Founded with a vision to provide quality education rooted in discipline and moral integrity, Good shepherd Kanzana has grown into a respected educational institution serving Nursery, Primary, and Secondary students.
